Just recently I hatched a plan to become an independent artist. My mom is still in my head telling me that there are so many starving ones.... But all doubt aside, I decided to take the leap. It's not that I wasn't an artist before, I believe to be born that way, but I am going to make it more of a priority in my life. The medium of choice is lampwork beads.

The beads are all made one at a time by hand, in my basement studio. I use a Minor Torch which uses propane and oxygen from an oxygen concentrator. And then melt glass rods to turn them into beads.

Subsequently the beads are slowly cooled to prevent them from cracking. After that, I inspect them, and clean them with a Dremel tool. And when they come out really beautiful, I will put them on eBay. You can find a link to my auctions under Services.
I make different kinds of beads, like the one on this page for example is a Pandora bead.

Sometimes I make the beads into jewelry. In addition to the lampwork beads I use handcrafted silver beads, imported by me, directly from Bali, Indonesia. Usually I add some Swarovski crystals for extra lustre. I use 49 strand Flexalon bead wire to string the jewelry so that it will last for a long, long time.

Then there are sets of beads in different sizes and shapes. At last, but for sure not least, are the focal beads, they are big and bold, sometimes to be combined with a set and sometimes solo.
